Wat is VSME Module B11?

Module B11 gaat over eventuele veroordelingen of opgelegde boetes aan jouw onderneming wegens corruptie of omkoping. De standaard verplicht je om dit te vermelden als er in het rapportagejaar een officiële uitspraak of geldboete is opgelegd wegens een overtreding van anti-corruptiewetgeving.

De module maakt deel uit van het bredere governance-thema in duurzaamheidsrapportage.

Welke gegevens moet je invullen bij VSME B11?

Je vult het volgende in:

  1. Is je onderneming veroordeeld voor corruptie- of omkopingsdelicten?

  2. Aantal veroordelingen in het rapportagejaar

  3. Totaalbedrag aan opgelegde boetes (€)

  4. Aanvullende toelichting (optioneel. Bijvoorbeeld: wat de aanleiding was, of maatregelen zijn genomen)

Volgens de standaard vallen hieronder alleen officiële strafrechtelijke veroordelingen en opgelegde boetes voor overtredingen van anti-corruptie- of anti-omkopingswetgeving. Interne disciplinaire maatregelen of civiele schikkingen vallen hier niet onder.

Voor wie is VSME B11 verplicht?

Alle ondernemingen die rapporteren onder de VSME-standaard zijn verplicht deze module in te vullen. Als er géén veroordelingen of boetes zijn, hoef je enkel aan te geven: "Nee, niet van toepassing".

De module is dus zowel voor bedrijven mét als zonder relevante sancties van toepassing – het gaat om transparantie.

⚖️ Moet ik ook oude veroordelingen rapporteren?

Nee. Je rapporteert alleen over het huidige rapportagejaar. Veroordelingen of boetes uit eerdere jaren hoef je niet opnieuw te vermelden.

💰 Wat als een boete in beroep is?

Je hoeft dit pas te rapporteren zodra de boete definitief is opgelegd door een bevoegde instantie. Een voorlopige maatregel of bezwaar telt dus nog niet mee.

🧾 Wat valt onder ‘corruptie of omkoping’?

Denk aan misbruik van macht voor persoonlijk voordeel, zoals smeergeld, belangenverstrengeling of bevoordeling van leveranciers.

🚫 Wat als dit niet op mijn onderneming van toepassing is?

Geef dan aan: "Nee, geen veroordelingen of boetes". Dat is voldoende.

Een installatiebedrijf kreeg in 2024 een boete van €8.000 wegens het aanbieden van een ongeoorloofde korting aan een overheidsfunctionaris in ruil voor gunning. De onderneming rapporteert in B11:

Frequently asked questions about the VSME

  • No. The VSME standard was created voluntarily by EFRAG (the same body behind the CSRD) for SMEs. Its purpose is to help SMEs report on sustainability in a structured way without having to prepare a full CSRD report.
    Note that more and more customers, supply chain partners and financiers do ask for it.

  • The CSRD is mandatory for large companies (from ±500 FTEs, listed and other cases) and requires extensive ESG reporting.


    The VSME standard is an accessible, simplified guideline for smaller companies. It is less complex, but is consistent with the structure of CSRD.

  • Yes. A VSME report shows in a clear and recognized way what your company is doing on sustainability. Increasingly, governments, corporates and municipalities are asking for ESG information in tenders - a VSME report is then a strong answer.

    • Basic: you indicate whether you have a policy, what you are already doing, and report your scope 1 and 2 emissions, your waste, and some basic characteristics about your staff, among other things.

    • Comprehensive: you go deeper into your strategy, risks, governance and performance. This level is especially relevant if you want to embed sustainability more strategically or it is demanded in the supply chain.

  • No problem. The VSME standard is meant precisely as a starting point. You can indicate where you do not yet have a policy or goals, and still deliver a report. This way you show transparency and demonstrate that you are on the move.
